Kunio Miyake began teaching the martial arts in Japan. At the same time, he was teaching modern Japanese language and literature at the high school level. He moved to the United States in 1985 and quickly established Shuko-Kai U.S.A. With many years of experience in the arts of Budo, Mr. Miyake is considered one of the most knowledgeable instructors in the art of karate. Jose M. Fraguas  is an internationally recognized martial arts authority well-known to the world’s top masters.
