Rigan Machado,
born in Rio de Janeiro,
Brazil, is one of Brazilian
Jiu Jitsu’s most storied figures. A World Champion, Mr. Machado was
one of the first black belts in BJJ to come to the United States and introduce an
entire generation to the excellent art of ground fighting. The fact
that he is one of the most famous and respected instructors in the
world keeps him extremely busy teaching at his Academy in Southern
California or traveling around the globe to spread the art and
philosophy of the art created by the Gracie Family.
Jose M. Fraguas
is an internationally
recognized martial arts authority well-known to the world’s top
masters. He is a prolific writer and publisher, rooted in the desire
to integrate martial arts philosophy and values into everyday
thinking and life, the necessary motivation for writing. Originally
from Madrid,
Spain, he currently
